LEED Platinum House by ArtHaus Home, Encinitas, CA
 It was wonderful working with Rich Williams, owner of ArtHaus Home and his Construction Manager, Matt Friedman, as we designed and built a 400 sf green roof off the master bedroom of this beautiful spec house, complete with interesting architectural design both inside and out and a sweeping view of the ocean from its main living space.

The plant palette is a colorful array of sedums (low-growing succulents) and includes aeonium zwartkop, sedum repestre (blue spruce), sedum nussbaumerianum (coppertone) and sedum spurium (dragon's blood). We also included aristada purperea, which was also used in the second-story "planter-box" style green roof facing the ocean. |
